About Britain Next
Britain Next is the record of what the people you pay have promised, done and cost you, at your postcode, with the source on every line. When politics argues, Britain Next explains.
Independent, and paid for by no one with a side
No ads. No party money. Britain Next takes no money from any political party, campaign or candidate, and carries no advertising. It belongs to no party and no department, and it does not tell you how to vote.
How we work
- Every figure comes from a named official body and links to that body's own publication. The register of what we draw on is on the Sources page, counted from the live record.
- We say what is unclear, and we publish nothing we cannot source. Where a page has no figure, it says so rather than filling the space.
- We correct mistakes in the open. Any published claim can be challenged, and corrections appear on the page they change. See the corrections policy.
- Software helps us gather, check and organise the record. Anything AI-assisted is labelled where you meet it, answers only from our verified records, and never decides what is true. See the AI use policy.
- Your postcode never reaches us. What you choose to remember stays on your device. See the privacy policy.
